Your whole food, plant-based life.

How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!

Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.

I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

How Not to Die by Michael Greger, MD

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.

Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?

His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.

We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

A green smoothie (or crunchie, as they sometimes turn out in my blender) each morning has made a big difference to my energy levels.

I stay healthy by avoiding the major supermarket chains and only having fresh groceries and base ingredients in my home. It’s hard to eat junk food if it’s not in your pantry!

The more I read I find I just want to be healthy and do everything I can to stay healthy. We eat wholefoods, organic and non GMO. I love to cook and have fun experimenting with all kinds of Vegan and Raw recipes. I try to incorporate as many super foods as I can. It is fun and exciting to try new foods.

I listen to my body and provide the nourishment she seeks, through whole, organic, preferably local, sustainable and plant based nutrition. In addition; movement, yoga, and meditation are integral for my well-being. I also am blessed to care for many unwanted animals with various conditions, and they too are fed only that which serves their highest good. Thank you for this opportunity. -Lisa

I recently started a nutritional wellness program. I’ve learned a LOT about eating healthier, things like the pesticides & herbicides that are used on produce that get transferred into our bodies, and the soil in which organic produce is planted is much healthier because it’s got all the good microbes and stuff still in it! 🙂

In order to be healthy, The portion of the meal is important. Breakfast must be the biggest portion, lunch is middle and dinner is the least portion that we should eat.
For the food option, I eat Sardine and egg in the morning, Chicken, Seafood or Veggie Salad for Lunch and Juicing at night. I drink Almond Milk as a snack drink. All of the nutrients will be digested in the body. Make you happy and healthy every day!
Hope all of us have a good health.
