Your whole food, plant-based life.

How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!

Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.

I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

How Not to Die by Michael Greger, MD

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.

Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?

His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.

We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

Many years ago my family started dropping like flies from different kinds of cancer. I immediately started to change my eating habits by not drinking whole milk, went to soy & now I drink either almond or coconut milk, stopped using chemical laden sugar substitutes, chose more fruits & veggies, gave up all meat & fowl for 5.5 yrs.
Most recently about a year ago I started to add free range, no antibiotics, organic, etc fowl & meat, however I rarely eat those and buy organic fruits & veggies. Even though I am only 1, I cook for myself & freeze smaller batches for future dinners or lunches.

I definitely try to get my water in, so I always make sure I have a water bottle with me wherever I go. I also love my spiralizer attachments for my Kitchenaid Stand Mix, so I get the satisfaction of ‘pasta’ but the nutritional value or beets, zucchini, carrots, turnips and more! It’s my current food obsession and they’re always so satisfying!

I am a strict vegetarian and try to eat raw 50% of the time. A green salad or smoothie is a daily must. Thanks for the drawing, I have been waiting on this book!

After feeling exhausted all the time and having difficulty with my digestion, I did a cleansing diet and continued eating a mostly vegetarian diet. Feeling and looking years younger…
