My biggest challenge is a durable and affordable blender. I have been through 3 in less than 3 years with my family of 6, and right now we do not have one. We all enjoy the superb variety of ideas and recipes on the Rawmazing website and would love to have a new blender to try out more recipes.

Our biggest challenge, being 100% raw is the lack of spontenaity. As is often the case, each meal takes some time to prepare. Between soaking, germinating, sprouting, dehydrating, blending, buying of food stuffs, cleaning and storage of these foods, it’s a lot of work! Currently my husband shops at three different organic farmer’s markets each week. Finding space to put all of the food is outrageous. When it is cooler out, he puts it in the car and garage to keep cool overnight , when there is absolutely no more room in the fridge. If we are invited out to friends homes, we always have to pack our own food. It is like being on a perpetual, moving picnic.
Thanks for all of your super recipes,
Clare

My biggest challenge is I am dealing with a health challenge where I need to eat organic and it is hard to find a wide variety of vegetables. There are so many things in the different recipes that I can’t have.

Getting enough protein. I have chronic issues with swelling when I do not get the amount of protein I need. I spent 3 1/2 months in a raw food community in the Philippines last year and had swelling the majority of the time unless I was able to eat fresh young coconuts and sprouted Mung beans. Then and only then did I feel at the top of my game

My biggest challenge with raw food is learning that I’m hypothyroid. Many of the raw foods that I’ve been eating lots of, especially in my morning smoothies, are goitrogens- spinach, broccoli, kale, strawberries, etc. These have a negative effect on hypothyroidism. In their raw state, I should be consuming very limited amounts. My challenge is finding acceptable substitutes.

My biggest challenge is prepping food for my raw meals. I am such a last minute cook, and last minute doesn’t work well with raw! I need to do better with preparing foods ahead of time so I don’t end up eating salad ALL the time.

My biggest challenge is sticking to it when I get busy, it’s so easy just to go out and buy something from the shop rather than get up a bit earlier to prepare something raw for lunch.

Humans are use to eatting soft food. Hard to chew on hard stuff all the time.
