We travel about once or twice a month, during hockey season, to see my son at school. It is an 8 hour drive and we spend the weekend. I always try to load up on veggies, fruit and healthy crackers plus some energy bars and breads with nut butter to snack on in the car and in the hotel room. But dining out is always an issue. I could easily pack ingredients for a healthy raw drink/smoothie but would need a Nutri-Bullet to blend it up!! What a great idea! I could eat a healthy drink before heading out with the family (might even get them to enjoy a healthy drink as well) and then get to the restaurant to figure out what I can eat off the menu:)
Love your website and gorgeous photography! Thanks!

I have a few issues with raw…none has to do with taste. My biggest issue is money! I want to do raw, organic fruits and veggies but the prices are so high that I can only choose one — the organic spinach or kale, but then what about the fruit that should always be purchased organic such as strawberries, cherries, etc. I become depressed and just get the kale (non organic and a banana. The amount that green smoothies suggest are larger than the amount I can afford. Would smaller, single servings be better? I am 58 years old with a $400 a month income for bills, and food. I am thankful for what I have. I just need to know how to incorporate raw on a limited income.

Eating Raw is great for me since I’m a diabetic without medical care or meds. However, I also have old and dull dentures, so I find it hard to chew the food. A nutri-bullet looks like it would solve my problem.

My biggest challenge is that I travel for work. I try to bring my own snacks, but most of the time I wind up eating salads or a plate of veggies. It’s hard to get a variety. I have a Vitamix at home, but it doesn’t help much when I have to travel by plane. I’d love to be able to make green smoothies on the go.

My biggest challenge thus far has been consistency! However, I’m determined to finish this race that I started.

Hi Susan,
One of my biggest challenges of being a Raw Foodist is traveling and making Green Smoothies without my high powered blender.
Many, Many Blessings,
Kim
