Sprouting and dehydrating! It takes a lot of time and patience.

My biggest challenge is to remember, plan and enjoy my food, to be joyful and willing to engage and pack my food full of variety and nutrition and life force, fun and taste.

My challenge is to be healthy always, because raw food is alive. How I going to do this be thinking in oll the nice color of my food.

    My biggest challenge is time

My biggest challenge with raw food is my family’s hectic schedule. With me commuting an hour each way to work, getting my kids to and from school, and my son’s football practice, sometimes it seems like so much work to prepare stuff in advance or wait for the dehydrator to finish up, or to run out and get that one ingredient we don’t have for the recipe. The temptation to fix something that is quick and easy, that we know the kids will eat, is too much. We just can’t seem to find the time to prepare two sets of meals: one for the kids and a raw one for ourselves. The idea of eating salads every night doesn’t appeal to me because I like variety and I’m not going to FORCE my kids to eat raw. It should be their choice, if and when they’re ready.

My biggest challenge with raw foods is being limited primarily to salads when eating out. Thanks to Rawmazing and others, I create awesome raw foods! So eating out/traveling is boring.

My biggest challenge is when visiting my grown children one state away. One of the three eats healthy and has a nice blender. Before I go, I make smoothies and freeze them in ice cube trays, then try to get them to stay semi frozen, or even semi-cool, in a chest for 10 hours then refreeze them when I get to their houses. Two of the families say my smoothies are “too green”. So, I can either stop visiting them or win this NutriBullet to show them how wonderful fresh one can be! Thanks for this fun opportunity.

Workaholic – I early for work (before 7 AM) and come home after 8PM. I’m usually away on weekends, so I have a difficult time fitting in the shopping for fresh produce then preparing. I live above someone with a newborn, so I don’t want to make a racket preparing food.

I travel a lot, and would LOVE to have a travel-sized blender for the road (as well as to use at home)! I’m raw primarily because of multiple allergies and health problems, and so I can’t “cheat” on the road–when I attempt eating cooked foods or grains I get pretty sick, and it’s a big risk to trust eating out in unfamiliar places. A travel blender would mean healthier, more balanced, and more enjoyable meals while traveling (as opposed to “fast foods” like avocados, plain fruits/veggies, and handfuls of nuts/seeds). I could make smoothies, sauces, and soups on the go, and have a more enjoyable experience.
