My biggest challenge with going raw is the cost– raw veg and fruit are cheap and plentiful in summer here, but costly in winter– while wheat flour is relatively cheap. When I am especially poor, I can always bake a meal, adding a few other things. Being disabled, I’m on a limited budget all of the time, and coconut oil, dates, blueberries and such are all high end foods.

Another issue is chopping/shredding. The prep is very tiring to me sometimes, and raw requires more prep than just plain old vegetarian, which I have been for 20 years. At this point, I’m about 30% raw, and would like to get to at least 50% within the next year.

My biggest challenge with a raw food diet my eating disorder because many raw food meals are high in calories because they are needed to get through the day. Hopefully, if I ever recover, I will be able to eat totally raw and be happy and healthy!!

My biggest challenge with raw food is making quick recipes when I am hungry such as lunch and especially dinner. Thank you for your contributions and the work you do. Blessings.

My biggest challenge with raw food is during the winter. I live in a very cold climate and eating raw food when it’s cold out lowers my body temperature so much and my hands literally turn purple. Sticking to raw food for 3 years really screwed up my body, so I decided to incorporate healthy cooked whole foods.

My greatest challenge in staying on a raw diet is the temptation of dining out….it’s a social thing, not so much a food thing. I love trying new raw recipes and eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Living in Florida makes it easier to do so year-round. It would be super to use a Nutribullet for this purpose. Thanks for offering the chance to win one. 😉

I definitely have to agree that the biggest challenge with raw food is preparation at all levels- from meal planning for the week, grocery shopping and prepping for the actual meal (whether it be soaking lentils the night before or finding the time to spiralize some zucchini noodles).
Time is the biggest roadblock for me, and preparation takes time!!

My biggest challenge with raw food is traveling. I don’t like traditional salads much, so I always fall off the bandwagon.

The biggest challenge of eating raw is finding enough time with several young children.

Finding time to try new recipes and incorporating them into my recipe file in my head is my biggest challenge. Making zucchini noodles with my spiralizer is becoming a natural go to for me now so maybe I can make that saurkraut I’ve been planning. One step at a time!
