I would have to stay my biggest challenge is to live in china at present in the south west where it is very much underdeveloped except for the odd two hotels in Fuzhou like the Westin and Shangrila.

I have to constantly substitute and try to understand where all the ingredients come from as food safer is china is a huge problem and raw food is not something people would try excerpt in maybe shanghai and Beijing.

This has been a huge challenge and constant frustration but one that made me think outside the box on a daily basis.
I have had to experiment and dehydrate in the sun, use other dates than the medjool, use new vegetables which are so far apart the western vegetables we are used to. I mean, I am a fairly good cook but this area is filled with vegetables I have never never seen in my life and they taste weird!

But with all things, take the challenge and rip the rewards of greater understanding and personal gratifications.

One experience I will never forget for sure!

I make smoothies everyday! They are the best way to get in all your fruits and veggies. My favorite is raw nut milk papaya and a squirt of flaxseed oil. It helps my digestion and keeps my skin glowing!

Planning!! A magic bullet would certainly help encourage me to get organised. I have an old blender that frustrates me because it takes too long to clean/rebuild so I often make in bulk & freeze in an attempt to keep fresh. This would solve all my problems!

I’ve just been learning about the raw way of eating in the last few months. It made total sense to me as far as health goes but I really didn’t understand how you could prepare recipes in a raw manner. To me raw meant fruits and vegetables. I had no idea of how foods are combined to make really tasty meals! My biggest challenge is my husband of nearly 30 years. He is a meat and potatoes kind of guy and I’m not a meat and potatoes kind of cook! However, he is a good sport and at least tries everything I put in front of him!

My biggest challenge with raw is definitely time! It’s like any type of cuisine though, it just takes a while before you know the style by heart and can fly through a recipe 🙂

My biggest challenge is finding quality organic and non-GMO produce year round. While there are many local farms in the area, most are not organic and I’ve run into a few farmers who get very defensive when I ask about the use of GMO crops. It gets very cold here in the winter, but I still try to grown some of my own herbs and greens indoors during that time.

I am new to the world of raw foods. The health benefits are truly amazing. My biggest challenge is taking my food and equipment along with me. The bullet looks like it makes it so much easier. Here’s to great health!!
