Changing a families cooking (or not cooking) style is by far the most challenging aspect. Finding ideas seem to come easier with so many people sharing menu ideas and recipes on their blogs, but shopping for, preparing and in reality the cost of raw food can be challenging but worth it for the overall health of yourself and loved ones.

My biggest challenge with raw food has been in being understanding that I’m not missing out on anything, just because food can be experienced as being more nourishing when hot, when it’s not! 🙂

My problem with raw is I’m always on the road but still need to eat, this would be a great help!

My biggest challenge is no one else in my house is trying to eat anything raw! What can I make that my carnivore husband and vegetarian kids can eat too? With a Nutrabullet at least I could hide veggies in their smoothies and sorbet.

I think that personally my greatest challenge with staying raw is the preperation factor. I find it really hard to find time to make my meals, especially now I have returned to teaching full time. Trying to get to the shops to buy the produce and then make the meals I enjoy takes a big chunk of time out of my busy day and requires fore planning. Also it is difficult to eat out raw, unless you go to a raw restaurant and therefore provides a challenge in my social life. With these challages though come great rewards! I love my raw food diet and no matter how difficult some days are, I always feel better when I’ve eaten raw.

I live in an area which requires me to travel to see my children & grandchildren. When I travel to see family & friends, I take my juicer with me for the purpose of juicing. The nutri-bullet would allow me to not have to pack my heavy juicer. I would love to win the nutri-bullet which would simplify my efforts of eating raw. I am trying to be a good role model by educating and demonstrating to my grandchildren the importance of consuming healthy foods. My approach to eating healthy is to keep things simple.

Biggest hurdle is using all raw food ingredients before they go bad and learning how to store & freeze properly:)

Switching from vegan and going raw has been an easy move for me, – however having a family of 5- myself, my husband and 3 little ones 6yrs and under has it’s struggles. Keeping enough food in the house- and getting what everyone is craving! Lol
I love what is in season and the kids are all over- one loves her berries and greens, one loves his avocados and oranges, the other is apples and cucumber! THEN- all of the sudden- they turn on their “completely opposite” taste buds! One thing everyone loves are smoothies- that is a staple! :0)
I am making daily trips to get everything fresh- but in the end- it is our overall health I do this for- so I deal and go where the taste buds lead me!
