Greatest challenge would be eating out. Friends and family who do not go raw but want to go out are my biggest challenge. I eat a lot of business lunches and dinners and often don’t get to choose the restaurant.

A big challenge for me is getting an overall daily balance of 55% carb 35% fat 15% protein as a lot of raw protein sources seem to come attached to a significant oil/ fat content. Some quickly prepared smoothies with the right ingredients would hopefully help in redressing the balance.

Aside from the obvious obstacle–difficulty eating out at most restaurants–my biggest challenge is the prep time involved in making raw food dishes to have on hand at meal times.

My biggest challenge at being a raw foodie and staying that way is needing the equipment and maybe more support… Like gatherings, parties, events, etc. And ways to make it fun again. 🙂

My biggest challenge with eating raw foods is proper digestion, it sometimes causes some intestinal distress. However, I have noticed that when raw foods are emulsified, they are more easily digested. Sometimes when I order from a raw food restaurant, the food has tons of garlic (which kills my stomach) or is made to ‘re-create’ a non-raw food – like a “pasta dish” made from vegetables, or a large variety of raw foods are used which cause stomach chaos. I’d rather just eat a salad than some “raw food dishes”.

My greatest challenge is ENERGY . I suppose I have been detoxing, but I feel as if I have no energy to exercise. Am I eating enough? I crave savory foods at night; but, after eating them, I then crave sweet foods.

My greatest challenge is when I go to the Philippines to do voluntary work I can’t afford to carry my juice extractor, blender and food processor. Not only the bulk of the luggage but also the extra luggage allowance. I can eat much of the tropical food there and its terrific but cumbersome to process at meals 🙂
