You can still overdose on sugars even with a healthy raw diet I have discovered !!!! So sugar would be my biggie !!

Happy Valentine’s Day! My biggest challenge to eating healthy is lack of advance preparation when I’m hungry, or when my tribe (family with little kids) is hungry, or when there’s a time crunch — an exceptionally busy day running from one thing to another. If there’s healthy food that’s easy and quick to throw together, then great! If not, then I’m susceptible to grabbing a quick bite out, not necessarily something terribly junky, but not up to the standards of home-prepared food!! : )

My biggest challenge to eating healthy is overcoming the inertia I sometimes have to cook or prepare a healthy meal when I’m tired or overworked.

A challenge that I have found in eating raw is finding recipes that are savory. Most recipes tend to be sweet or sour. Perhaps I should buy your book!

My biggest challenge in eating healthy is that I seem to always want to go back to the way I used to eat. I’ll eat raw for 3 or 4 days and start feeling better, then I just wanted to go to a restaurant and eat old style food that I am familiar with. Then I feel bad for eating unhealthy and cheat even more. It’s a yo-yo effect for me – I’m good with my eating, then I’m bad, then I smarten up and eat well, then go back to unhealthy foods again. It’s a struggle, but I am definitely eating better than I used to, and I’m noticing that my eyes are changing color. They used to be green with yellow lines here and there, and now I seem to be seeing some blue and less yellow. I hope this is good news.

My biggest challenge to healthy eating right now is trying to wade through all of the conflicting information I find.

Time. Time. Time. I like A LOT of flavor. That means more than just grabbing an apple or steaming a head of broccoli. Of course food preparation—not to mention clean up—can take a lot of time. I actually find that a lot of raw recipes take more time than some cooked recipes. I cherish the weekends when I have time to prepare a couple of days’ meals in advance.

Susan, your photos and recipes are incredible. Thanks so much for shortening our learning curve and taking all the guess work out of making wonderful, healthy food. I hate to cook, so raw is a great relief. You make it so easy for us. Thanks.
