KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

First of all thanks for running such a wonderful giveaway. Raw food is the best way to get full nutrition for your body. I am almost 60 and I want to live till I am 120 and be in the same condition I am now. So over 60 % of my food is raw each day.

Hi my name is Breanna and I am a new follower as of lately so your posts always help me out and inspire me!
Reading your recipes and post inspire me to incorporate raw food into my diet so winning the Kitched Aid would be awesome!
I have a regular blender and a food processor but it isn’t as great ( gotta work with what you got) and I thought of buying the Vitamix but I really can’t afford it.
Since this appliance stands up to the Vitamix, I would love to use this to make those recipes I have been dying to make that require an intense blend.
Keep at it hun, love your site!

Since I have switched to eating raw fruits, nuts and vegetables my stomach is a happy camper. I have no more indigestion and feel absolutely great!
