KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

With a dozen food allergies I have found that eating fresh and raw is the only way to feel good and pain free.

I travel back and forth to Tucson to care for my dad (in assisted living down the street from his town home) and find I miss my Vita-mix In Minnesota – especially when the farmer markets here are overflowing with abundance! It would be a treat to have a mixer for smoothies for myself and perhaps introduce this retirement community to ‘real’ living foods. And honestly, I’m quite tired of making salads and slicing up fruit!

I`m interested in raw food because I`m vegan and I`ve discovered raw veganism and it just opens up a whole new field of food preparation I would love to dive into ;pp

I am very interested in eating raw food and have been for a long time. I just can’t get over the hurdle to make the commitment bc I don’t know exactly what to eat. A lot has to do with the fact I don’t a blender/food processor. As a recent college graduate, I can’t afford the type that I really need. Winning this would be THE push I need to dedicate my lifestyle to raw food!
