KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

I have a VitaMix that I love and I want to get my daughter on the wagon. I can’t afford to buy a VitaMix for her, but this would be perfect!

I had cancer. When I went thru the treatments I was told not to eat fresh vegetables and salads because they were trying to kill cells not feed them. Wow. The flip side? Eat fresh and raw and give life to your cells. I get it!!!

It has been a goal of mine to try a raw diet. I have been vegetarian for almost 18 years. I believe vegan is one of the healthiest ways to eat if done properly. Two years ago I gave up all sugars besides natural sugar found in fruits. I still follow this diet fairly well. I hope to try a raw diet starting in january, just like I did with the sugar. I know it will be a challenge but know there are so many health benefits of a raw lifestyle.
