KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

MS? Not after going raw. 🙂
The neurologist just says, “you’re in remission.”
Ok, fine. I’m good with that.

I am trying to eat raw to become more healthy. I have diabetes and my blood sugars are so high all the time. But raw foods offer me some incentive to be creative with my diet.

Watching my 25 year old daughter struggle with Rheumatoid arthritis about 4 years ago, then seeing her change in 6-9 months to having no symptoms at all because she switched to totally raw. It was a miracle. I have puttered in the raw foods for that long and have now been raw for 8 weeks. I feel better all around. My blender is a good one, but I need a better one. My daughter won her Blendtec, I would love to be the winner of this blender and put hers to the test…

I am an operating room nurse and every day I see damaged organs and disease. I am so concerned about obesity, and preventable diseases that I insist on “real” foods. My family has no idea what secrets I have learned. They just seem to enjoy the food that I grow and prepare. I dehydrate my herbs and other foods when they are at there peak and buy organic when I have too buy things I can not grow here. EVERYTHING IS BETTER IN ITS INTENDED FORM. LET FOOD BE YOUR MEDICINE. IT REALLY IS….AND IT IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!!!!
