KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!

This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted.  Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender

I decided to start on a raw food diet because I’ve been suffering with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia & Vertigo for the past 24 yrs. I’ve been to many doctors and have tried everything; medications, experimental protocols and all kinds of supplements and nothing has really helped. I missed out on so much when my kids were little. I could barely raise them. My family had to help out with so much! Now I have a little granddaughter, Elliana, and I want to be part of her life. I don’t want to be sick anymore. I missed out on being part of my children’s lives when they were growing up and I don’t want to miss out on Elliana’s life also. So, I decided about 3 mos ago, after much research, to try going ‘raw’. Wow! What a difference in how I feel! I’m transitioning to completely ‘raw’ slowly and I’m not 100% raw yet, but I’m getting there. And, I’m not completely healed, but I can actually play with my granddaughter! And not only that, I can actually help my daughter with her housework which makes me feel so good because she had to become the mom in our household when she and her siblings were growing up. She was the oldest and had to take over doing a lot of the housework that I used to do before I got sick and had to look after her younger brother and sister. Maybe after being on this diet for awhile I’ll eventually get completely better . . . but even if I don’t, I won’t mind at all feeling like I do now. Life is now bearable! I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and life feels great!

With raw foods, I am guaranteed fiber in my diet and with enough fiber, I can eliminate properly 🙂 which translates to gut health. Gut health = brain health and overall well being!!!

I’m interested in raw food because I am in my 40’s, overweight for the first time in my life, experiencing heart pain (my g’ma died @ 52 of a heart attack) & seriously assessing my health now. I can’t afford a juicer or a blender to replace my coffee maker~ I need a little help.

I’ve been vegetarian for 6 years, vegan for 2 and have been venturing into raw food for the past year or so. I could never go completely raw as all of my favorite foods are warm and salty, but I love the recipes and get a lot of fun and enjoyment by making and eating them.
