KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

As a single mother of two boys, eating as much as we can raw really helps us feel so much better, and has improved our immune systems so much. I am very interested in seeing how this blender performs compared to the more expensive competition.
We will be watching for your experiences in using it.

I eat as many raw vegan foods as I can. It makes me feel and look healthier. I have a Blendtec so would like to give the blender to my sister who needs a better blender for her daily green smoothies.

Raw food is my new tool. It is my goal to one day replace all the cough drops, sniffles, humidifiers, kleenex boxes, and thermometers that have been so common in our family life, with living food. We are closer then we have ever been.

I like the fresh taste of raw food. I like the creative ways in which you can mix various ingredients together and it results in a flavorful dish full of texture and energy. The food comes alive in your mouth! What more could you ask for? Yes, sometimes a lot of prep work is involved but it’s worth it.

Eating 80%/20% is a great way to stay detoxed so the body can stay strong and prevent illness. I mix green alkalizing cucumbers and spinach and kale with fruits for tasty smoothies. I have wanted to get a Vita mix for my son but the price is prohibitive now. I am glad to hear that this blender performs so efficiently.

I’m in stage 4 renal (kidney) failure due to having polycystic kidneys. The only reason I am not on dialysis is because I eat a raw/vegan diet (my doc even believes this). I can’t give up and could really use this blender. So far, waiting 13 months on a transplant list. Thank you for your consideration!
