KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!

This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

Eating raw feels good! I also love the look on peoples faces when I tell them the wonderful meal I’ve prepared is raw vegan. They would have never guessed and it gets them to stop thinking that eating healthy doesn’t taste good.

Raw food is a most natural way to eat. I ate only raw foods for 6 weeks and felt my body changing on a cellular level. I had so more energy and clarity. Cooked food had become unappealing. Now I’ve slowly gone back to cooked and am determined to go back to mostly raw. I felt so much better then!

I have been eating raw on and off for a couple of years. I am definitely not a purist. I have a hard time in the winter eating raw, mainly because I tend to run cold and I crave heat in my food during those cold winter months. I live in the mountains of Idaho, 6,000 ft above sea level so it gets quite cold here.

I am really interested in the the battle of the blenders verdict.

I’m eating more raw foods having recently discovered that I’m allergic to yeast and having gone thru a pretty intense detox. I feel so much better, my skin looks better, im sleeping better and I lost 18lbs in 15 days! It’s a challenge because I can’t eat fruit, yeast, sugar, dairy or anything with vinegar. The only thing left was veggies, I’m lovin them!

My husband and I are trying to eat wisely and healthy. We have been eating mostly raw since June 2012. We are feeling so much better and I want to continue this life habit!

I love raw food because you are really eating a plant in it’s pure and natural state, it feels like I’m just taking in so much more nutrients than if I were to eat cooked foods. It is so much easier on my stomach, I feel so much lighter and more energized, as I don’t like that heavy feeling you get with a lot of cooked foods. My favorite smoothies are cashew smoothies with banana and berries! I’ve been trying to save up for a Vitamix as I’m a student but would test this blender out if it does the trick too!
