KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Β Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

Funny, I was just making “frosting” in my Blendtec to top my raw chocolate cake thinking how much it would suck if my blender broke. It was making a noise I never heard just prior to the thought. I have been transitioning to vegan/raw vegan from vegetarian for the past 6 months. Once I eat a little dairy or white carbs, I instantly feel sluggish physically, mentally, emotionally…every way. Amazing how different I feel eating raw vegan…I keep running back to this lifestyle quicker every time and know I will just decide that I want to feel amazing ALL THE TIME:)Thank you for your site, pics and recipes….just wonderful!

I am not intrested in raw, I love it, because I choose to live a healthy life everyday, every meal! I lived on cooked food for 27 years and it made me sick an overwight. My max wight was 169,7kg and now I am 85 Kg. I am living it green not just for my body but for the enviorment as well.
Best Regards Diana

I was told a month ago by my Dr I had hypothyroidism and was pre-diabetic. That slapped me in the face. I need to eat better to not have to be put on medicine for full blown diabetes and to lose weight.
I really need a good blender that works without smelling like it will catch on fire….
