KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

The raw, vegan diet is not only healthy for me but the planet and everyone living on it. It is a loving diet, respecting all animals and life. I have greater spiritual acumen, feel better and cleaner emotionally, it uses less precious resources, and know that my raw, vegan diet helps people across the planet both directly and indirectly.

I would love to be entered! My Dad just had open heart surgery and wants to go back to eating raw but I can not afford to buy him a VM or a BT. I would be very interested in how this does with green smoothies – he love those and most ‘regular’ blenders just can’t process them smooth.

I have recently been diagnosed with cancer of my blood plasma. I know that eating raw is the very best way to support healing the machine would be a godsend.

My husband and I went raw 2 years ago and felt si good and healthy. I loved finding recipes to try. Our vitamix finally went kaput and I would love a less expensive replacement! Thank you LP your food by the way!

Raw food has opened my eyes to how many nutrients I was missing out on. I love raw recipes and enjoy sharing them with my family…when they’ll let me!

I love raw food. I always feel so much more energetic when I eat raw foods. Much more vibrant. I have more energy to get things done around here & with three kids.. I need all the energy I can get to keep up with them!
