KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!

This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted.  Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender

I’ve been vegan for 20 years and have always eaten a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Then I discovered the raw food diet and try to do as much of that as I can. I’m a trail runner, swimmer and weight lifter. I’ve always had a lot of energy but raw food gives me even more! I love making raw desserts from the Rawmazing recipes and have made many more Rawmazing dishes. I make a lot of flax crackers and breads and kale chips. I also have a large Sproutman sprouter. Jack the orange tabby knocks off the lid to steal garbanzo beans (my three dogs and two cats are vegan and also love raw food).

Beatrice, a Basset Hound rescued by my national nonprofit from a puppy mill during one of our undercover investigations, promotes raw and vegan food on her blog and one of her two Facebook fan pages. She has posted Rawmazing recipes (with credit, of course and a link to the website). Needless to say, I am a huge fan of your website and the amazing recipes. Thank you!

I’ve been thinking about getting a Vitamix or Blendtec but with a nonprofit salary, I don’t want to spend this kind of money. So I hope the KitchenAid is just as good.

It’s the most pure way to eat food! We only have one body, it’s so important to treat it well and one of the biggest parts of wellness is eating vibrant, fresh, delicious food in its pure unprocessed form—I love raw food for this reason, and I’ve made it my mission to spread the love to those who are uneducated, because once they take that first bite, more often than not…. they are floored 🙂

I try to eat as much raw as possible so I can absorb the most nutrients and vitamins the foods offer. 😀

Health was the very first motivating factor to me wanting to be raw.. After studying and learning.. There are just soooo many reasons to be raw 🙂

After going on a recent 60 day juice fast and losing a lot of weight, I am determined to clean up my previous diet and incorporate more raw into our meals. I juice breakfast, either juice lunch or eat raw, then eat a salad for dinner, followed by cooked food. Our children have been eating more smoothies and enjoying many other raw foods as well!
