KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

We have been vegan and gluten free for some time now but are just in the process of transitioning to a raw diet. I had thyroid cancer diagnosed a few years ago but was able to manage it without traditional radiation therapy. Since we are opting for a more natural approach, diet is playing a huge role. I have really appreciated your site!

Raw food–kind to my body helping to keep disease away, and kind(er) to our planet as well. Love the energizing “zing” it gives me!

Eating raw food makes me feel like I’m in the middle of the summer.

Raw food seems to be the way to live these days and probably always has been. I believe that one of the reasons people are getting cancer is because of the diets we have incorporated in our lives. I want to learn from you on how to be a better, more healthy living individual. So happy to have you near by 🙂
