KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.
I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)
To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.
So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!
No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

I need to fix my gut and my brain, which has caused a lifetime of health issues. My gut was basically damaged at 6 days old and continued to be for the next 35 years. Thank you.

I stopped to visit a friend and she asked us over for dinner, it was the Raw Diet. It was very good and she told us how much better she felt. So over a year now I have been on the Raw Diet. Thanks to Susan and her recipes it has been easy to stay on too.

Raw food makes me feel energized vs sluggish, keeps my weight under control, and my skin looks more hydrated!

I love your recipes, especially the desserts… They helped me get my friends and family to discover and like raw food ! My 14 years old daughter is now even more enthusiastic than I am. The only problem she has now is that she can’t stand eating crapy fastfoods that her friends have as treats, it just taste disgusting to her! She brings her own and is becoming a real “chef”. She’s making us, and even her at first reluctant teeenage girlfriends, raw delights and supper at least once a week. Our blender is really not very efficient and we can’t afford a really good one which would help her following the raw food path !
