KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

My name is Stephanie, I am 41 years old and have been a type one diabetic since I was 12. I have always been very interested in nutrition and was a veg/vegan for 15 years until I got pregnant with my son (now 7) and the only thing I craved when pregnant was steak. As weird as it was I went and bought organic steak but steak none the less and went off my path during pregnancy only. Lately I have been feeling likey digestion was mess. A while ago, I watched Simply Raw. I don’t know if you’ve seen it but it’s about reversing diabetes through eating a raw food diet. I bought a dehydrator, a spiralizer, and a sprouter. I’ve been using a magic bullet or a food processor but a VitaMix has been the only thing on my list for a while. I keep telling my husband but, alas, No VitaMix! If this KitchenAid is truly equivalent it could be a literal life saver. Since I’ve been eating raw, I am taking significantly less insulin, my digestion is great, and I feel great. Thanks for considering me. I apologize for the novel. 🙂
Best,
Stephanie

I’m obese and desperately need to lose weight. Being that I live on a very low income it would be a great boon to me to win this blender and help me start a raw food diet.

You are what you eat! That’s what we’ve always been taught and I believe it! I feel much better when I have my green drinks and other raw concoctions. I especially love the raw desserts! My dogs are also on a raw food diet and they have a huge amount of energy; especially, my 10 year old frenchie.
