KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

Raw food is just the best way
to go. It keeps your motor run-
ning clean. Eating raw, organic
food is the only way to avoid
all of the unnatural additives
that the food industry is adding to
to processed food.

Oh wow, I had no idea this could give the Vitamix a run for it’s money! I’m interested in eating raw because it’s so packed full of nutrients! Nothing makes me feel as good as raw food does.

Raw food captured my interest after watching our then, 11 year old, become sick after almost every meal he ate. For 2 years, during the time when he should have been going through a growth spurt, he was losing weight instead of gaining it. We finally discovered that he had celiac (after enduring several negative tests). That put us on a whole new path to food and nutrition. We discovered that raw food made the most sense to us, out of all the other types of foods out there. Now, we eat primarily raw and he is thriving, as is the rest of our family!

I recently have been incorporating many more raw foods into my diet, and am seeing a whole lot of benefits to my health. It’s hard to change habits, but creating new ones to replace them especially in the raw is great! How wonderful raw food is.
