KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

I am looking to make myself as healthy as possible! I have read many raw books and am completely sold on the lifestyle. Although I am not completely raw yet, I am trying to introduce as many raw meals and snacks into my lifestyle as much as possible.

I’m interested in Raw because I see what people are eating these days, to include myself. It brings tears to my eyes to see the health of people, my friends & family even, deteriorate slowly, each and every day. I think that incorporating Raw in our lives, like most things, will truely take with time, and possibly be the answer to our growing health concerns. Like most things you take them in small strides, babysteps. Raw is about living products from our mother earth, not pre-packaged items with words I can’t even pronounce.

I’m a vegan and sometimes tired by how veganism is perceived just like an effort to recreate non-vegan dishes full of meat and dairy. In my opinion, veganism is about eating delicious healthy food which also happens to be vegan. And for me, thats where raw foods come in!

I am interested in raw food because ever since I met and ran with a co-worker who was a breast cancer survivor – she got me interested in raw food. She felt the major part of her recovery was because she began a raw food diet. I am a fitness enthusiast and anything that can improve my time and performance – I am all open for!
