KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

Our raw food journey began soon after my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer. We started out vegan, then quickly progressed to Raw Food. His prostate cancer was eliminated by Alternative Procedures and we now wish to keep that and any other type of cancer at bay. We believe a healthy lifestyle and the fact that “you are what you eat” is the key to preventing dis-ease.

When I stick to raw foods my energy level is at its best, my allergies seem to disappear and I just feel better all the way around, both mentally and physically. I am happy to hear about your comparison – I thought the Vitamix was the blender to aspire to…Smiles…And, I knew I could never pay that much for one. My little Hamilton Beach is still chugging along, putting out a spinach smoothie for my breakfast every day, but I know it hasn’t much life left in it. Thank You for the opportunity to win!
Sincerely,
Laurie

looks yummy!
my partner and I did a raw food cleanse before getting pregnant with baby #2 (I am now 32 weeks!) we couldnt believe the detox!! and then the energy burst once all the junk was cleared from our system. needless to say, I tried staying raw during the beginning of the pregnancy but sadly morning sickness took over and raw food just didnt cut it. I have been eating raw on and off since (from our lovely huge garden! as local as you can get raw food!) but look forward to converting to more raw food after this baby is born to bring me energy and to boost my health and body up!
I think I have owned 4 blenders, and they all never made the cut but could never afford a vitamix. I am really looking forward to hearing your reviews on this one as it is cheaper.
LOVE this page, only came across it a month ago. thx for all the recipes so far!
