KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

I love to eat raw because as a chronic insomniac, I actually sleep for more than 4 hours, per night if I maintain raw. My skin also feels better and my irregular heart beats regularly, strong and happily.
Thanks
Robin

Raw seemed like the next right step after going vegan.

Thank you for researching the Kitchen aid blender.
I’ve viewed an infomercial on this product and wondered if it was as great as they made it out to be.
God bless for all your terrific, healthy recipes that you share with all your followers.

I have only recently learned about the raw diet this summer. Before that I had no idea there was such a thing!
My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cancer in late June of this year. As soon as we found out I started researching healthy diets and natural cures. I usually try to eat healthy but had no idea there was so much information out there on healing foods!
Since my dad’s diagnosis and coming across this site, I’ve tried out a bunch of the recipes and my dad says he feels great! Our family has become committed to a healthier lifestyle and diet. We’re working on cutting out the processed foods and learning how to cook with healthy alternatives. We all feel healthier! Since June, my dad lost almost 20 lbs of excess weight by eating healthy, walking 5-6 miles a day and naturally strengthening his body as he prepared for chemo which started this week. People are shocked when they learn he has cancer. He hasn’t looked better in a long time! All from changing his diet and lifestyle. Our family remains positive during this time. Eating better definitely makes you feel better!
Please keep the recipes coming!

I eat raw because as an athlete it is critical that I get the most nutrients I can from my food. I love the challenge of eating in a different way than the one in which I grew up. The flavors of raw food are intense and immensely satisfying. And of course I love all the ideas I get from sites like Susan’s on the ‘net.
