Your whole food, plant-based life.

How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!

Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.

I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

How Not to Die by Michael Greger, MD

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.

Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?

His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.

We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

I keep in mind the dirty dozen and the clean fifteen while food shopping, avoid GMOs, and eat organic as much as possible

I became Vegan a few years ago, after being Vegetarian from about the year 2004. I try to choose fresh, unprocessed foods as much as possible – including utilising my local Food Co-op in the Blue Mountains (Australia) where I live. I would like to be able to choose “organic” produce, but find that at this present time, it is a bit expensive. I hope 2016 will bring even more important changes to my life and to the choices I make…

I try to eat everything in moderation, it’s the main key to living a healthy balanced life. I eat about 80-90% vegetarian and around 50% of that raw food, I go to the gym a few times a week, I smile all the time and travel quite a lot to keep myself happy 🙂 That’s my recipe for a healthy lifestyle 😉

I strive to eat a vegetarian, organic, non-GMO diet, based on whole foods, and minimizing soy, gluten, and dairy. I enjoy reading current information on nutrition, and it would be wonderful to have a source of reliable info to help keep me on track.

100% vegan diet and lifestyle. Organic as much as possible. Whole foods at least 70% of the time. I do enjoy vegan cheese and Field Roast products. Make almond- and soy milks at home, use the remaining meal to bake with.

My husband and I are taking raw food preparation classes locally so we can introduce more healthy food in their natural state.

I never use to have to worry about my body or weight but since having my last child something major has changed. Its been really hard knowing what to eat with all the different advice out in the world today. Its been a slow road but I eat organic fruits and veggies. I do almost no dairy and have stop consuming almost all meat but fresh caught fish.
